Terms of Service

These Terms govern your access to and use of madmocks, an AI billboard mockup generation tool operated by Johan Leandersson (the "Operator", "we", "us") from madmocks.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding agreement to use madmocks. By signing up you confirm you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Account access

madmocks is currently in closed beta. We may grant or decline access at our discretion. Accounts are personal and non-transferable. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account. We use Supabase for authentication and Google as an optional identity provider.

3. The service

madmocks lets you upload a layout image and generates a photorealistic mockup of that layout installed as a billboard in a city scene of your choosing. The generation is performed by fal.ai using OpenAI's GPT Image 2 model. We do not guarantee fidelity, availability, or that any specific render will succeed. Outputs are AI-generated and may contain artifacts.

4. Credits and pricing

The service is paid via prepaid credits. 1 credit = 1 mockup render. Credit packs are sold at the prices listed at /buy and processed by Polar.sh. Credits do not expire. New accounts may receive a small number of free trial credits at our discretion. Failed renders are automatically refunded back into your credit balance.

5. Refunds

Credits are generally non-refundable once granted. We may, at our discretion, issue a refund for unused credits within 7 days of purchase if requested by email to hello@madmocks.com. Refunds for processed payments are returned to the original payment method via Polar. Used credits (renders that completed successfully) are not refundable. 6. Your content

You retain all rights to the layout images you upload and to the mockups generated from them. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process, transmit, and store your uploaded content as required to deliver the service (which includes sending the image to fal.ai for processing). Generated mockups are hosted on fal.ai for approximately 7 days before they expire; we are not responsible for storing them long-term and we recommend you download anything you want to keep.

7. Acceptable use

Your use of madmocks must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. In summary: no illegal content, no rights infringement, no impersonation, no harassing or hateful material, no sexual content, no deepfakes of real people without consent, no content intended to deceive or defraud. Violations may result in immediate suspension without refund.

8. Third-party services

madmocks relies on third-party providers including Supabase, fal.ai, Polar.sh, Cloudflare, and Google. Your use of madmocks is also subject to those providers' terms where applicable. We are not responsible for outages, errors, or content moderation decisions on their side.

9. Termination

You may stop using madmocks and request account deletion at any time by emailing hello@madmocks.com. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, abuse the service, or for legal/security reasons. Unused credits at the time of a Terms-violation termination are forfeit; in all other cases we will refund unused credits on request.

10. Disclaimers

madmocks is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated outputs will meet your expectations.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or related to your use of madmocks will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
